Tanti saluti da tutti noi famiglie nuove della zona di Chicago!
Vi scriviamo per raccontarvi della bella giornata che abbiamo vissuto sabato scorso.
Ci siamo incontrati con 3 coppie giovani e 3 “meno giovani” per condividere la nostra vita e le esperienze sull’arte di amare nella vita di coppia e di famiglia. C’era tanta apertura e una profonda condivisione e comunione tra di noi. Alcuni avevano conosciuto la spiritualità dell’unità da ragazzi, ed è stata una cosa veramente bella vedere come i valori del vangelo fanno parte del dna della loro vita. Uno sposato e un fidanzato sono venuti per la prima volta, eppure anche loro hanno condiviso tante cose belle. Partendo ci hanno detto che è stato come se ci conoscessimo da tanto tempo.
Alla fine della giornata abbiamo sentito che si era creata un’atmosfera di famiglia insieme. Tutti hanno espresso il desiderio di mettere in pratica l’arte di amare nella loro vita e di rimanere in contatto l’uno l’altro.

Greetings from us and all the new families here in the zone of Chicago!
We wanted to write to tell you of the beautiful day we had with some of our couples here in the zone last Saturday. We met with 3 young couples and 3 “less young’ couples and shared our lives and experiences of living the art of loving in our marriages and as a family. It seemed as if there was a real openness right from the start with a lot of sharing and deep communion. Some of the young people in the group had grown up as ‘new generation’ of the Focolare Movement, and it was really a beautiful thing to see how much the gospel values are part of each of their lives, as if it were part of their DNA. A spouse and a fiancée were attending for the first time and yet had so many beautiful things to share. In fact they said as they were leaving that they felt as if they had known us for a long time.
We felt at the end of the day we had built a real atmosphere of the family together. All expressed a desire as they left to put into practice the art of loving in their lives together and to stay in touch with each other.
